Homage to the Three Jewels

Homage to the Three Jewels-

--May the fragrance of precepts, meditations, wisdom, liberation, and the knowledge of liberation form a bright shining, cloud-like pavilion,
and may it pervade the whole universe, and so do homage to the countless Buddhas, all the Dharmas , and all the Sanghas, in the ten directions.

--The mantra of the incense offering.

We do homage to the teacher of the three worlds, the loving father of all creatures, and our Original Teacher, Shakyamuni Buddha.

We do homage to the all Buddhas, eternally existent in the ten directions, of the past, present, and future, as countless as the lands and the seas in the Lord Indra's net.

We do homage to all the Dharmas, eternally existent in the ten directions, of the past, present, and future, as countless as the lands and the seas in the Lord Indra's net.

We do homage to all the Great Bodhisattvas, especially Manjushiri, Bodhisatva of Great Wisdom, Samantabhadra, Bodhisattva of Great Action, Avalokitesvara, Bodhisattva of Great Love, and Ksitigarbha, Bodhisattva of Great Vows.

We do homage to those who have personally recieved Buddha's teaching on Mountain Gridhakuta, Ten Great Disciples, Sixteen Saints, Five Hundred Holy Ones, Lone Legend Monks, Twelve Hundred Great Arhats, and Innumerable Sanghas.

We do homage to those Great Patriarchs and Teachers who came from the West to the East, those who came to the Korean shores and transmitted the Lamp of the Dharma for generations, also to our Legend Zen Masters recognized throughout the ages and the various numberless Spiritual Teachers and Friends.

We do homage to all the Sanghas, eternally existent in the ten directions, of the past, present, and future, as countless as the lands and the seas in the Lord Indra's net.

We earnestly desire that Three Innumerable Precious Jewels most lovingly and compassionately receive our devotions, and that they empower us spiritually so that at once and at the same time together with all creatures in the universe we may attain Buddhahood.
